The Stamford sailing community is committed to developing a philanthropic spirit that will grow and sustain our mission to promote sailing, water sports, and environmental responsibility. This is accomplished through generous donations from supporters of the Stamford Sailing Foundation like you.
Sailing Community Support
The Stamford Sailing Foundation, Inc. was established in 2022 under the laws of the State of Connecticut as a philanthropic outreach effort by members of the Stamford, CT sailing community. While closely aligned to Stamford Yacht Club, the Stamford Sailing Foundation is registered, operated and recognized as an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable foundation with an independent Board of Directors.
Our Mission
The Stamford Sailing Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded to (i) support the sport of sailing within the community, by providing boats and equipment to those who would not otherwise have such access; (ii) encourage and promote safe water sports; and (iii) promote environmentally responsible use of the marine environment, within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
